The Century: America's Time, SHELL SHOCK 1914-1919
I was a field producer for Seeds of Change 1900-1914 and Shell Shock 1914-1919, the first two episodes of a multipart series on life in the 20th Century, hosted by Peter Jennings. Our goal was to tell the story of America through the eyes of ordinary people. My job was to find those storytellers and to interview them. Some of the eyewitnesses to history had rarely told their stories before. I called upon 98-year-old Mabel Griep in Dayton, OH, to ask her about her childhood neighbors, the Wright Brothers. "My father told me that I'd remember that day until the day I died," she scolded me, "And now you're calling?!"
Shell Shock won a 1999 Cine Golden Eagle Award, and was nominated for a 1999 Emmy Award.

Shadow of Doubt
I reported and produced this Friday night special investigation for ABC News Nightline. At the time, the state of Texas was leading the number of executions in the country. There was growing concern that even high stakes death penalty prosecutions could go awry. This is the story of Kerry Max Cook, who was released from death row after 20 years to face a new trial.
